Angel L. Lazaro, III
takes upon his father, the zeal and the dedication of a true professional. Today he is one of the most respected and sought after engineers in the industry. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Civil Engineering under the Philippine Registration Commission. And in 1995 he served as the Metro Manila Waterworks and Sewerage System's Administrator.Angel Lazaro III finished B.S.Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines in 1964. He earned two Masters degrees and a Doctor of Philosophy from Princeton University. He worked in the U.S. for a year and in 1972 joined his father's consulting firm, Angel Lazaro and Associates (ALA). He also entered the academe where he became Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines and then Full Professor and Dean at the De La Salle University.
Under his able leadership, ALA accomplished great strides in handling various design and supervision projects, from highway and bridges to airports and harbors, from waterworks and sewerage systems to mechanical and electrical systems, and from site development planning to computer software development. He has taken the challenge of elevating the standards of workmanship, skill and technical aptitude of his fellow civil engineers. With his guidance and vision, we can expect that the same legacy of excellence and professionalism would persist to more generations to come.
